Manufacturers may participate in the MIT Smile Product Certification System at their own discretion. The certification should be performed by a third-party certification organization entrusted with the task by the Industrial Development Administration
The MIT Smile Product Certification consists of "Identification of Product Origin from Taiwan" and "Quality Certification". The Quality Certification consists of Manufacturing Quality Management and Product Quality inspection (both the manufacturer and product are to be identified).
