The Project of Promoting and Counseling of Low Carbon Transformation for Textile Industry
- Modified at:2025-03-21
This program has adopted the 5th key strategy “energy saving and efficiency” out of 12 key strategies action plan announced by National Development Council to fully promote 2050 Net-Zero transition goals. The program is intended to survey the current situation of the carbon inventory in the textile industry. Several government-funded textile-related research institutes are formed as a team, providing technical solutions such as material substitution, process and equipment optimization, energy transition, and recyclable design concepts to help the textile industry attain its carbon emissions reduction goal. Furthermore, with the support of brand vendors, the program is aimed at facilitating their supply chain manufacturers to introduce low-carbon emissions technologies, build up a sustainable ecosystem, and strengthen the management capability of decarbonization and green communication power with brands. There will be no doubt that the first priority of this program will be to assist the textile, footwear, and bag & luggage industries in lowering their carbon emissions, eventually leading to net-zero transition.
