Printed circuit board industry net-zero carbon emissions promotion plan
- Modified at:2025-03-21
This project aims to help Taiwan’s printed circuit board manufacturers improve their carbon inventory and traceability capabilities, establish a product-level carbon content calculation mechanism, and move towards digital carbon management. By more efficiently tracking process emission hotspots, accelerating industrial planning for low-carbon process optimization paths, improving energy efficiency, reducing entry barriers and costs for small and medium-sized enterprises, and promoting my country's PCB industry to move toward net-zero transformation.
In order to achieve this goal, the plan is implemented based on three main axes: "Net-zero carbon emissions industry trend survey and policy development," "carbon inventory calculation mechanism design," and "carbon content traceability technology introduction and demonstration promotion." Beginning with a review of the current situation and needs analysis, the project establishes a product carbon footprint calculation mechanism to understand direct and indirect carbon emissions and carbon emission hotspots. This approach improves carbon management digital capabilities, lays the foundation for carbon reduction, promotes industrial services, and drives the upgrading of the printed circuit board industry chain.
