Development of Promoting Biomedical and Precision Healthcare Industry and Facilitating Cross-National Collaboration

A. Precision health value-added Service

Host 3 fundraising events and achieve at least 1 fundraising for the entrepreneurs having the novel technologies related to the precision medicine and regenerate medicine. Assisting an entrepreneur to use or apply the medical data or a platform technology oversea or domestically so as to promote cases related to the product development or validation on the pharmaceuticals, regenerative medicines, or precision medicine, and achieve 1 clinical application.

B. Cross-field integration of precision health industry

Hold 1 matchmaking meeting related to the cross-domain technologies and the business development to promote the cross-disciplinary cooperation between the biomedical industry and the cross-field industry, and assist 6 entrepreneurs to proceed the cooperation discussion meetings with the potential partners, respectively, achieve 1 cross-field cooperation case or sign at least one memorandum of cooperation.

C. International Cooperation and Exploitation for Biomedical and Precision Health Industry

Arranging 2 collaborative meetings between foreign biotechnology companies and domestic industries, promoting 2 strategic alliance or business collaboration (cross-industry collaboration) between domestic and foreign biotechnology. Assisting 58 companies and organizations of Taiwan’s biotechnology industry to participate in BIO 2023 conference, and organize a Taiwan Pavilion.

D. Biomedical industry investment promotion and collaboration

Providing 65 consultation services related to regulation & inspection, R&D & application, technology transfer & commercialization, talent training & recruitment, investment opportunities, international sales & expansions (cross-industry collaboration), and more to help solve problems encountered during industrial development. Organizing 1 event related to Taiwan’s biotechnology industry pavillion.

E. Biomedical industry policy promotion sub-project

Surveying current statuses (including company numbers, employee numbers, export values, import values, turnovers, R&D expenditure) of companies in Taiwan’s applied biotechnology industry and producing 1 report, and publishing the 2023 version of Biotechnology Industry White Paper, calling 2 committee meetings for review. Assisting 8 events related to the promotion of the Biotech and Biomedical Pharmaceutical Development Act.
