In the current year, the project has guided key materials technologies for compound semiconductors, steering companies toward high-value-added product development and enhancing materials self-sufficiency. We completed technical coaching for 4 items across 4 companies, which catalyzed self-funded contributions totaling NT$5,565 thousand. Over the next three years, the project is expected to spur NT$0.3 billion in investment, generate approximately NT$110 million in related output, create 6 job opportunities, and drive Taiwan’s compound semiconductor industry toward higher value-added development, import substitution, and stronger global competitiveness. We established two compound-semiconductor alpha-site (α-site) verification platforms to advance materials performance verification, serving as a bridge between upstream materials suppliers and downstream application users, enabling rapid process adoption. We launched a materials localization linkage initiative, connecting domestic firms to introduce localized production and fill gaps in key compound semiconductor materials. We completed three assessments on the localization/self-sufficiency of compound-semiconductor materials, mapping domestic and international product information and technologies to inform future R&D directions.
