1. Net-Zero Carbon Transformation in the Bicycle Industry
To promote the net-zero transformation of the bicycle industry, key initiatives will include establishing carbon footprint calculation models for bicycle products, drafting Product Category Rules (PCRs), and advancing operations and advocacy for the Bicycle Net-Zero Alliance. Through an industry exchange platform, we will facilitate meetings and exchanges, host keynote speeches and workshops, and encourage the sharing of net-zero experiences both within and across industries. These efforts aim to: Assist domestic enterprises in meeting the carbon disclosure requirements of international brands. Guide the industry toward autonomous transformation strategies to achieve collective net-zero goals. Communicate these strategies and achievements globally to establish Taiwan’s bicycle industry as a leader in the global green supply chain.
2. Product Innovation, Value Addition, and Guidance
Regarding product innovation and industry guidance, the project will focus on net-zero policies and the demand for shared/emerging vehicles. This involves gathering policy and market intelligence to research trends in bicycle and mobility markets and identifying key product and technical directions. Key technical objectives include: Applying green design and AI tools to develop advanced product analysis and design technologies. Developing dynamic design technologies for high-end E-Bikes, assisting the industry in creating niche electric-assist bicycle products, components, or service systems. Conducting research on regulatory standards and certification, utilizing government resources to collaborate with the private sector. Deepening R&D and testing capabilities to drive industrial upgrading through high-quality, high-value-added products. By proactively mastering European and American E-Bike regulations, we aim to ensure seamless international integration and expand into global markets.
